The coping processes of adult refugees resettled in New Zealand

The current study was undertaken to address some of the gaps as well as to obtain a contextual and comprehensive knowledge of adult refugees' coping processes whilst resettling for which knowledge is still insufficiently documented. For the purpose of this study, qualitative data were collected from twenty six former refugees, all now living in New Zealand cities, so as to generate explanations of ‘why’ and ‘how’ adult refugees are able to overcome resettlement challenges and to adjust adequately.
