Democratic Republic of the Congo: Refugee Policy Review Framework baseline as at 30 June 2020

This document examines the host country’s legal, policy and administrative framework for refugees and asylum-seekers and its implementation. It focuses on five key areas:
1. The relationship between refugees and host communities in the country.
2. The regulatory environment for asylum-seekers and refugees, including the asylum system and institutional arrangement.
3. Economic opportunities for refugees and asylum-seekers.
4. Access to national public services for refugees and asylum-seekers
5. Gender and social inclusion considerations, which negatively impact the implementation on the refugee socio-economic development in the above policy sub-dimensions.
