Approved by the Commission during its 131st regular period of sessions, held from March 3-14, 2008. Adopted on 13 March 2008 in Washington D.C. This resolution aims at providing input to the process of drafting an Inter-American Declaration on the rights, duties, and care of persons under any form of detention or imprisonment, undertaken by the OAS Permanent Council.
