Comments:
On 22 March 2020 a new Constitution was adopted (promulgated on 6 April 2020). On 5 September 2021 there is a change in power and the 2020 Constitution is suspended. A Transitional Charter (see under related documents) was adopted on 27 September 2021 and will remain in force until a new Constitution will be adopted. In 2024, a preliminary draft of a new Constitution was presented and a constitutional referendum is currently scheduled to be held in Guinea on 21 September 2025.
