Denmark: Lov om etnisk ligebehandling (Act on Ethnic Equality)

The Act prohibits direct and indirect discrimination, harassment, and victimization based on racial or ethnic origin. It also allows for specific measures to prevent or compensate for disadvantages linked to racial or ethnic origin. The Danish Institute for Human Rights is tasked with promoting equal treatment and assisting victims of discrimination. The Act does not apply to areas covered by the Act on Prohibition of Discrimination in the Labour Market, etc. The Act does not apply to the pursuit of activities of a purely private nature.
