The Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, initially adopted in 1995, was amended in 2005 and 2015. These amendments introduced significant changes, such as transitioning Armenia from a semi-presidential system to a full parliamentary republic. Article 54 introduces the right to political asylum : "Everyone subject to political persecution shall have the right to seek political asylum in the Republic of Armenia. The procedure and conditions of granting political asylum shall be stipulated by law."
