Czech Republic: Decree No. 359 of 1993 concerning the Extension of the Grant of Temporary Asylum within the Territory of the Czech Republic until 31 December 1993 and the Limitation of the Group of Persons entitled to it

The Government
Article I
agrees(1)on the limitation of the group of persons entitled to be granted temporary asylum within the territory of the Czech Republic after 1 July 1993, to citizens of the former Yugoslav Socialist Federal Republic who come from areas directly affected by the war, and further that after 1 July 1993 temporary asylum will not be granted to citizens of the Slovenian or Croatian Republics,
(2)to the continuation of humanitarian aid to all citizens of the former Yugoslav Socialist Federal Republic who were granted temporary asylum within the territory of the Czech Republic before 1 July 1993,
(3)to the extension of the grant of temporary asylum within the territory of the Czech Republic to citizens of the former Yugoslav Socialist Federal Republic from areas directly affected by the war until 31 December 1993, additionally that these persons will be granted at the refugee facilities of the Interior Ministry the same material security and health care as applicants for refugee status, without being subject to the standard asylum proceeding;
Article II
cancels points I/2 and II/1/b of the Decree of the government No. 769 of 30 December 1992 concerning governmental measures for the assistance of victims of the conflict within the territory of the former Yugoslavia in 1993.This is not a UNHCR publication.
