In this submission, UNHCR outlines the domestic legislation and practice on access to asylum at the so-called ‘Green Line’ in Cyprus, including asylum-seekers’ living conditions in the buffer zone between the 1974 ceasefire lines, and on asylum-seekers’ detention in Cyprus.
