Persons at Risk of Statelessness in Serbia

The present report offers basic information on the situation of households and persons at risk of statelessness. It is based on a survey carried out by IPSOS Strategic Marketing for the needs of the UNHCR in Serbia. The objective of the survey was to establish the number of persons at risk of statelessness faced with serious obstacles in obtaining personal documents; identify and map locations where such persons predominantly reside; determine the awareness of such persons about the need to possess personal identification documents and citizenship; and record or identify the cause for the lack of personal documents.
