Revised edition 2014. See Article XI with respect to citizenship, which includes citizenship by birth and citizenship by registration. Provides for automatic citizenship upon independence; empowers the High Court to consider applications for citizenship by registration for persons with land rights or of Marshallese descent; empowers the parliament to make laws for the acquisition of citizenship by registration or naturalisation and for the loss or renunciation of citizenship.
