This is the official text as adopted on 8 May 1996 and amended on 11 October 1996 by the Constitutional Assembly and signed into law on 10 December 1996. The text includes all 17 of its amendments (up to 2012) and under 'related documents' you can find the latest amendment act (Constitution Eighteenth Amendment Act (No. 3), 2023) amending section 6 of the Constitution relating to the official languages, including sign language. Currently, three bills have been introduced: Constitution Nineteenth Amendment Bill (B1-2025), Constitution Twentieth Amendment Bill (B20-2023) and Constitution Twenty-First Amendment Bill (B22-2024).
