The end of history? Conflict, displacement and durable solutions in the post-cold war era

This paper seeks to provide an overview and changing nature of conflicts around the world subsequent to the dissolution of Soviet bloc and the displacement that happened as a result of these. The paper further seeks to answer, what is the relationship between conflict and involuntary displacement in recent times and what are the root causes of armed conflict? The paper also looks to define 'durable solutions' while concluding that durable solutions are a necessary but not sufficient condition for lasting peace.
