Frelix, a publisher and founder of the ecological group Green World of Ukraine, died in L'vov of poisoning. He had been investigating the military's connection with an epidemic in the city of Chernovtsy and had alleged that the illnesses resulted from the city's proximity to a military base. The Ukrainian prosecutor stated that Frelix's death was the result of a terrorist act. Colleagues report that the day before he died, Frelix obtained further evidence relevant to his investigation. The autopsy concluded that the cause of the publisher's death was kidney failure caused by poisoning.
