XXIII. RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED ON THE REPORTS OF THE FOURTH COMMITTEE
2424. Question of Oman

The General Assembly, Having considered the question of Oman, Having examined the statement of the petitioner,[1] Recalling its resolution 15t4 (XV) of 14 December 1960 and other relevant resolutions, Deploring the refusal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to implement the relevant General Assembly resolutions concerning Oman,

1. Reaffirms its resolutions 2238 (XXI) of 20 December 1966 and 2302 (XXII) of 12 December 1967;

2. Calls upon the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to implement fully General Assembly resolution 1514 (XV) and other relevant resolutions;

3. Requests the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples to follow the developments in the Territory of Oman and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its twenty-fourth session.
