The General Assembly, Having accepted the advisory opinion of 11 July 1950 of the International Court of justice on the question of South West Africa,[1] Having authorized the Special Committee for South West Africa, by paragraph 3 of resolution 1702 (XVI) of 19 December 1961, to examine petitions as far as possible in accordance with the Mandates procedure of the League of Nations, Draws the attention of the petitioners concerned to the report of the Special Committee for South West Africa to the General Assembly at its seventeenth sessions[2]2and to the report of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Special Committee on their visit to South Africa and South West Africa,[3]3as well as to the resolutions on the question of South West Africa adopted by the Assembly at its seventeenth session. 1194th plenary meeting,
