734. Recognition and enforcement abroad of maintenance obligations

The General Assembly, Having noted that the question of the reciprocal recognition and enforcement abroad of maintenance obligations has been before the Economic and Social Council which, at its fifteenth session, decided [1] to postpone consideration until its seventeenth session , Being aware of the urgent need to improve the situation of members of families whose legal supporters living in another country fail to comply with their maintenance obligations, Requests the Economic and Social Council to do its utmost to complete, if possible, its work on this question in such time as to enable it to report on the results to the General Assembly at its next regular session. 460th plenary meeting,
