II. RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED ON THE REPORTS OF THE SIXTH COMMITTEE
173. Part III of the report of the Committee on Procedures and Organization of the General Assembly

The General Assembly Approves the text of the rules of procedure as set out in the annex[1] to this report; Adopts these rules of procedure as its rules of procedure; Decides that they shall enter into force on 1 January 1948 with the exception of rules 127 and 135 which shall enter into force immediately. The General Assembly Invites the Secretary-General to prepare, in consultation with the Economic and Social Council, draft rules for the calling of international conferences, as provided in paragraph 4 of Article 62 of the Charter, for consideration at the third session of the General Assembly.
