The Commission on Human Rights, Bearing in mind its resolution 1984/48 of 13 March 1984 on the question of traditional practices affecting the health of women and children, Requests the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, at its fortieth session, to consider measures to be taken at the national and international levels to eliminate such practices, and to submit a report to the Commission at its forty-sixth session. 54th meeting
