The Commission on Human Rights. Recalling its resolution 1984/19 of 6 March 1984 in which it invited the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to consider the idea of elaborating a draft of a second optional protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights aiming at the abolition of the death penalty, and to submit its views thereon to the Commission at its forty-first session, Having examined the report of the Sub-Commission on the work of its thirty-seven[2]133 Recommends the following draft resolution to the Economic and Social Council for adoption: [For the text, see chap.
