7 (XXXV). Treatment of non-white immigrants[1]13

The Commission on Human Rights, Taking into account the statement of the representative of India relating to indignities and hardships suffered by non-white immigrants because of treatment by the concerned immigration authorities, Acknowledging statements relating to this matter by other countries, Taking note of the statement regarding the problem by the representative of the United Kingdom,

1. Expresses its deep concern regarding the problems reflected in the above statements;

2. Takes note of the willingness of the Governments of India and the United Kingdom to have a forthright exchange of information and facts so that the situation can be clarified and resolved;

3. Expresses the hope that a satisfactory outcome will be reported to the thirty-sixth session of the Commission.
