These Regulations came into force on 1 April 1989 and were subsequently amended by the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 (SI 2004/614), and the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/3306).
