CHAPTER XI EXPULSION AND NON-ADMITTANCE

Article 24

1.     Each of the High Contracting Parties undertakes not to expel or to turn back refugees to the frontiers of territories where their life or freedom would be threatened on account of their race, religion, nationality or political opinions.

2.     A refugee authorized to reside regularly in the territory of any of the High Contracting Parties may not be expelled save on grounds of national security or public order and in pursuance of a decision reached by due process of law.

3.     A refugee whose expulsion has been ordered shall be entitled to submit evidence to clear himself, and to be represented before the competent authority in accordance with the established law and procedure of the country.
