Fiji: Existing Laws Decree 2000

In exercise of the powers vested in me as Commander and Head of the Interim Military Government of Fiji, I hereby make the following Decree:
1. This Decree may be cited as the Existing Laws Decree 2000.
2a) Subject to the provisions of this Decree or any other Decree made in accordance with the powers vested in me as Commander and Head of the Interim Military Government of Fiji the Existing Laws in force immediately before the 29th day of May 2000 shall continue in force and shall be read with such modifications, adaptations, qualifications and exceptions as may be necessary in view of the Fiji Constitution Amendment Act 1997 Revocation Decree 2000.
b) Existing Laws' means all laws in force in Fiji immediately before the 29th day of May 2000.
