Lithuania: Resolution No. I-1947 of 1991 of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania on the Law on Emigration of the Republic of Lithuania

The Supreme Council of the Republic of LITHUANIAN resolves:
1. To establish that the Law on Emigration of the Republic of LITHUANIAN shall enter into force on 1 January 1992.
2. To obligate the Government of the Republic of LITHUANIAN by 10 December 1991 to:
1) submit to the Supreme Council of the Republic of LITHUANIAN drafts of the laws necessary for the enforcement of the Law on Emigration of the Republic of LITHUANIAN;
2) approve the regulations of the order of preparing emigration documents;
3) determine the amount and the order of payment of the state duty for the preparation of emigration documents; and
4) to establish the procedure in accordance with which State institutions shall present to the Ministry of Internal Affairs information concerning a citizen of the Republic of LITHUANIAN who has filed an application for emigration. 3. Paragraph 5 of Article 7 of the Law on Emigration of the Republic of LITHUANIAN shall enter into force upon the adoption of the Law on State Secrets.
