Iraq: Resolution No. 393 of 1986 (residency)

In accordance with the provisions of para. (a) of Article (42) of the Constitution,
The Revolutionary Command Council have decided in their session held on 30.4.1986, the following:-
1- Residence obtained by an Iraqi residing abroad shall not be effective unless he obtains an agreement on his employment in conformity with the Law of the Regulation or Iraqis' Employment Abroad No. 61 of 1981.
2- The Iraqi residing abroad shall present an application for the obtainment of employment agreement within one year beginning from the date of enforcement of this Resolution.
3- Provision of para (1) above shall be applicable from the expiry date of the period stipulated in para. (2) above.
4- An Iraqi unemployed woman abroad, her unemployed or non-studying daughters and her sons not subject to military service shall be excluded from the term of agreement on the employment of the husband, the father or the guardian as residence only shall be sufficient.
5- This Resolution shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
