Reports on the implementation by the parties of the Security Council resolution 1559 (2004). Provides the background of the conflicts and reviews the situation under following headings: i) foreign forces deployed in Lebanon; ii) Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias; iii) extension of Lebanese government control over all Lebanese territory; iv) presidential election process; and v) sovereignty, territorial integrity, unity and political independence of Lebanon.
