Reports from Pakistan say a girl has been killed and three other children wounded after a bomb exploded near their school in the northwestern part of the country.
Officials say the bombing took place on December 12 outside a village school in the tribal region of North Waziristan, where Pakistan's military has been battling extremist groups.
Security sources were quoted as saying the bomb was planted next to the school gate and went off when the gate was opened.
No group has claimed responsibility.
The army launched an operation in June 2014 in North Waziristan to wipe out militant bases in the region and bring an end to an insurgency that has cost thousands of lives since 2004.
Security has since improved, but scattered attacks are still taking place.
