Iranian President-elect Hassan RohaniIranian President-elect Hassan Rohani

Iranian media has published a list purportedly containing the names of 33 future members of President-elect Hassan Rohani's government due to be announced this week.

The list published on July 29 by the Mehr and ISNA news agencies includes nominees to the positions of ministers, vice presidents and top presidential advisors.

Rohani would nominate former Revolutionary Guard and ex-defense minister Mohammad Forouzandeh as head of the Supreme National Security Council, a post which effectively makes Forouzandeh Iran's chief nuclear negotiator.

The list suggests that Iran's former UN envoy Mohammad Javad Zarif has been nominated for the post of foreign minister, and former Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh would be returning to his old post.

There was no official confirmation of the list. Parliament must approve all the nominees. Rohani will be inaugurated on August 3.
