Representatives of the Russian prosecutor's office have returned to the Moscow office of the anticorruption organization Transparency International seeking more documents.

Yelena Panfilova from the Transparency International Moscow office said the prosecutor's office officials came Wednesday.

She said on her Twitter account that she would "go to the Moscow prosecutor...to explain what we have been doing in 2013."

The prosecutor's office already checked Transparency International's Moscow office at the end of March along with hundreds of other nongovernmental organizations across Russia.

There were also reports that prosecutor's office officials conducted checks at the offices of the political research organizations Indem and the Levada-Center on April 24.

The new checks came on the same day two prominent Western human rights organizations – Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch – jointly issued reports on the "ongoing assault" on rights in Russia.
