Iranian media report that the country has produced a new domestically made drone.
According to the reports, the unmanned aircraft is an advanced craft capable of vertical take-offs and landings (VTOL) that can also hover in midair.
Iran's semiofficial Mehr news agency quoted Abbas Jam, director of the project, as saying on November 3 that the drone would be tested that day and "unveiled" next year.
In October, Israel shot down a drone, reportedly manufactured in Iran, after it flew some 55 kilometers into Israeli airspace.
The pro-Iran Lebanese militant group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the drone.
Tehran has claimed its drones have made dozens of undetected flights into Israeli airspace from Lebanon in recent years.
Israel has rejected such claims.
Iran frequently claims breakthroughs in military technology, but most are difficult to verify independently.
