According to the Guide pratique de Kinshasa, published in February 2005 by the Canadian Cooperation Support Unit (Unité d'appui au programme de la coopération canadienne, UAP), a [translation] "bilateral project" of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), 10 airlines provide international flights to the Kinshasa airport: Air France, Air Gabon, Cameroon Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Hewa Bora Airways, Kenya Airways, SN Brussels Airlines, South African Airways (SAA), TAAG Angola Airlines and West African Airlines.

Information on the schedules, the frequency of flights and the countries and cities of origin and destination of the airlines serving the Kinshasa airport was limited among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. However, the Website of France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides some recent information:

[translation]

Air France provides two flights per week between Roissy CDG and Kinshasa N'Djili. Two other flights are available out of Brazzaville (which involve police formalities at the beach and the airport).

SN Brussels Airlines took over from Sabena and provides five flights per week to Brussels (possibility of transfer to Paris and the Provinces and of taking the high-speed train).

A private Congolese airline, Hewa Bora Airways (HBA), has weekly service to Brussels.

SAS has resumed service between Kinshasa and Johannesburg and provides transfers to Europe and the rest of the world. HBA often serves that line with stop-overs in Lubumbashi and/or Harare.

Air Gabon and Cameroon Airlines (Camair) have connectors to Kinshasa with the option of transferring to Paris. Nairobi, Luanda and Pointe-Noire are also regular destinations for flights out of Kinshasa (France 21 Dec. 2005).

Below are the names and addresses of the 10 airlines that have international flights to and from Kinshasa (UAP Feb. 2005).
