The Research Directorate found only one reference to the Tunceli Ovaciklilar Kultur ve Dayanisma Dernegi (or Tunceli-Ovaciklilar Cultural and Solidarity Association) in the Turkish language daily Ozgur Politika:

The executives of KAY-DER, Varto, Karakocan, Pulumur, and Kurecik associations, [came] together under the Tunceli-Ovaciklilar Cultural and Solidarity Association, [met with] the executives of the Kadikoy-Tunceliler Cultural and Solidarity Association, [and] emphasized the necessity of sharing association duties and adopting a common position against oppressive measures. Furthermore, the executives made a decision aiming to establish a regional associations platform for transforming democratic initiatives concerned with local and social problems into an effective force and concluded, that also other local associations be invited to participate in future work (21 Nov. 2001).
