In Correspondence dated 28 July 2002, the Co-ordinator of the Falun Dafa Association of Canada provided the following information to the Research Directorate.

The Falun Dafa Association of Canada, like Falun Dafa Associations everywhere, is a loosely connected network of people who practice Falun Gong and volunteer to help spread its teachings. The Association has no paid staff and no offices. Volunteers, including coordinators, use their homes or privately owned companies as contact places and such public venues as community centres, libraries, classrooms and public parks are used as gathering places for group exercise and group study or discussions. The Association does not keep a membership list and does not charge a membership fee.

For an updated list of Falun Dafa Classes, Assistance Centres and Practice Sites in the Greater Toronto Area, please refer to the attached document, which was last modified on 24 April 2002.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
