According to representatives of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in Manchester, United Kingdom, Pakistan International Airlines flight PK703 flew from Lahore, Pakistan to Toronto, Canada with stop-overs in Manchester and New York city on 22 May 2001 (29 Nov. 2001, ibid. 3 Dec. 2001a). The PIA Manchester representative further stated that planes refuel in Manchester before departing for New York and the stop-overs can run anywhere from two to two and a half hours (ibid.). Passengers are allowed to disembark to the waiting lounge during the Manchester stop-over (ibid.).

A PIA representative in Toronto confirmed that PIA flight PK703, originating in Karachi, flew from Lahore, Pakistan to Toronto, Canada on 22 May 2001 (3 Dec. 2001b). Stop-overs were made in both Manchester and New York city (ibid.). Passengers are allowed to disembark during New York stop-overs, which tend to be of an hour to two hour duration (ibid.).
