1982/34. Question of the violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms in any part of the world, with particular reference to colonial and other dependent countries and territories: situation in Equatorial Guinea[1]118
The Commission on Human Rights, Recalling its resolutions 15 (XXXV) of 13 March 1979, 33 (XXXVI) of 11 March 1980 and 31 (XXXVII) of 11 March 1961 on the situation of human rights in Equatorial Guinea, Further recalling that the Economic and Social Council, in its resolution 1981/38 of 8 May 1981, expressed its readiness to assist the Government of Equatorial Guinea, at its request, in the task of restoring human rights in Equatorial Guinea and requested the Secretary-General to draw up a plan of action aimed at the implementation of recommendations[2]119 submitted by Professor Fernando Volio Jimènez, the expert appointed by the Secretary-General in pursuance of Commission resolution 33 (XXXVI), Noting that the Economic and Social Council, in its decision 1981/167 of 16 July 1981, invited the Commission on Human Rights to examine at its thirty-eighth session the draft plan of action prepared by the Secretary-General,1. Takes note of the report of the Secretary General[3]120 submitted in accordance with Economic and Social Council resolution 1981/38;
2. Recommends the following draft resolution to the Economic and Social Council for adoption:
