IV. BORDER CONTROL
Article 20
Border control is made by the unit of the Republic organ for internal affairs authorized to control the crossing of the state border at the border pass and in the area determined for carrying out border control.If the border control, in accordance with the international agreement, is carried out in the territory of another state, the organ mentioned in the previous paragraph has to respect the provisions of this international agreement.
Article 22
Organs mentioned in first para. of Art. 20 of this law may, for reasons of public order, prohibit and refuse the entrance of a foreigner into the state.Article 23
Organs mentioned in the first para. of Art. 20 of this law have to accept persons whom they identity as citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and persons that are handed over in accordance with the international agreement.IX. PENAL PROVISIONS
Article 59
Fines can be imposed on:Any one trying to escape border control (Art. 17 and 1st para., Art. 25).
Any one who moves or abides without the prescribed permission on the border pass or in the border control area (Art. 29).
