Letter dated 20 July 1999 from the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General
Upon instructions from my Government, I have the honour to transmit to you the text of the Tashkent Declaration on Fundamental Principles for a Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict in Afghanistan, adopted at the meeting of the six plus two group at Tashkent on 19 July 1999 at the Deputy Minister level (see annex).
I should be grateful if you would have the text of the present letter and its annex circulated as a document of the fifty-fourth session of the General Assembly, under items 20 (f) and 50 of the preliminary agenda, and of the Security Council.
