Information on this specific subject is currently unavailable to the DIRB in Ottawa. However, it may be of interest to note an event that occurred in February 1993, which was reported by the Current Digest of the Post-Soviet Press. According to this source, a potential armed clash between Moldovans and Gagauz was thwarted by Moldovan police in the Gagauz region (24 Feb. 1993). For additional information on the incident, please refer to the attachment.
