Please find attached the Response to Information Request HRV10984 of 11 June 1992 which provides recent information on military service in Croatia. In addition, please note the following information provided in the attached articles.
According to Radio Croatia Network, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman ordered the demobilization of 65,000 army reservists in June 1992 (18 June 1992).
In order to resist the Croatian armed forces, the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina (part of Croatia) has proclaimed a general mobilization of men between the ages of 18 and 60 on its territory (Tanjug Domestic Service 21 June 1992; Ibid. 10 May 1992). In April 1992, the Territorial Defense Headquarters in Baranja, part of the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina, ordered mobilization of men between the ages of 15 and 60 (Ibid. 15 Apr. 1992).
There is no further information currently available to the IRBDC on this topic.
