Selon un responsable d'Americas Watch, même si l'on ne peut affirmer qu'il existe une étroite collaboration entre les «Thogs» et les autorités policières de ce pays, il existe une certaine complicité car les «Thogs» qui s'en prennent non seulement à la communauté indo-guyannaise mais de façon plus générale à toute forme d'opposition au Parti (Conversation téléphonique tenue le 21 fév. 1991).
Aucune corroboration n'a pu être obtenue parmi les sources publiques et publiées actuellement disponibles au CDCISR d'Ottawa.
