1 & 2)     Citizens of El Salvador do need a permit to travel to Guatemala. This permit can be obtained at any border post from Guatemalan immigration authorities. The duration of this permit can be up to a month.

3)             A Salvadoran can obtain permanent residence in Guatemala if the Guatemalan immigration authorities consider that he/she has a useful contribution to society. With regards to citizenship, the Salvadoran must have lived in the country for at least two years before applying for it.
