Referring to the 1993 nationwide strike of customs workers, Central America Report states that
strikers who persisted in the occupation of the Central Customs Office in Managua were violently removed by the PN [National Police] on June 9, resulting in 5 injured and between 30 and 40 in police custody (25 June 1993, 178).
The source refers to other strikes in June 1993 and the Nicaraguan government reaction to them, but does not specify where they occurred.
The attached InterPress Service (PeaceNet) report also provides information on different strikes in June 1993, but does not specify where they occurred.
