Please find attached a copy of the response to Information Request 3420, which contains information on the current labour unrest in Argentina. As stated in the attached response, reports of political violence around the May 1989 elections could not be found among the sources currently available to the IRBDC. Major disturbances, however, did occur in late-May and early-June in response to general price increases. Information on this subject may be found among the news clippings of that timeframe available at your regional Documentation Centre.
