Information relating specifically to Palestinian Lebanese is currently unavailable to the DIRB in Ottawa. Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 1992, however, states that citizens of non-African descent face discrimination and are sometimes harassed. For example,
Lebanese Christian residents of one city accused NPRC officials and RSLMN officers of supporting efforts to drive them from their homes and businesses in favour of the Lebanese Shi'a community. Citizens of non-African descent often are scapegoats for the country's economic difficulties, and the resident Indian and Lebanese communities experience harassment (233).
Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
