A March 1998 Off Our Backs article states that "The Gypsy Mothers' Association, founded by [Iona] Zambo, is working to get better education, health, work, and welfare for gypsy girls and women [in Hungary]." No additional information on the Gypsy Mothers' Association, nor references to a group in Hungary called the "Association for the Protection of Gypsy Mothers' Rights," could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
