Information specific to the treatment of Quakers in Guatemala could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB. However, according to a representative of the Comisión para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos en Centroamérica (CODEHUCA) in San Jose, Costa Rica, the Quakers are a small group whose financing comes from the United States and whose activities are not widely known (21 July 1993). The source stated that the government of Guatemala will oppress any group that attempts to intervene in its management of economic, social and political issues (Ibid.).

Additional information on the above topic is currently unavailable to the DIRB.
