The IRBDC has no information specific to demonstrations in Brasov on 22 December 1989 and 21 January 1990. There were, however, demonstrations throughout Romania on these occasions as reported in the attached selected articles. There is a report of demonstrations on 18 December in Arad and Brasov (Keesing's Dec. 1989, 37104) as well as mention that "gangs of terrorists have been almost eliminated" in Brasov (Agerpress 26 Dec. 1989).
