Information on Russian citizenship additional to that contained in the Russian citizenship law and the related documents available at your Regional Documentation Centre could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB. The Embassy of Russia in Ottawa was unable to provide additional

information on the subject (20 Dec. 1993).

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
