According to the Congress Manager at the headquarter in The Netherlands of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (IPF), there was a congress held in Vancouver from 31 August 1997 to 4 September 1997 (24 Nov. 1998). This information was corroborated by the Director of Member's Services at the British Colombia Pharmacy Association (25 Nov. 1998).
In a fax sent to the Research Directorate on 25 November 1998, the Congress Manager of the IPF provided the names of the Lebanese delegation that attended the 1997 Vancouver Conference: Mr. Ghassan El-Amine, Mrs. Rose Assaf, Mr. Raymond Batrouni, Mr. Rida Bazzi, Dr. Marie Leila Khoury and Mr. Hussein Sibai.
