Please find attached information fax to the DIRB by the Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC) in Montreal on German laws which provide for victims of Nazi persecution. According to a representative of the CJC, these laws apply to victims of Nazi persecution who both resided in and outside West Germany between 1965 and 1989 (27 Apr. 1994).
This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
